47th annual dance for the blind and visually impaired that took place on June 11th. The food for our guests was once again donated by Carrabba’s of Central Islip. The picture shows, the presidents of the Central Islip and Brentwood Islanders, presenting a certificate of appreciation to Damir Guerrero the manager who arranged the donation of the food. We had close to 50 “guests” at the dance. Our Leo and the members help serve the food and make our guests feel comfortable.

Islip, NY- Islip Town officials recently met with members of the Lions Club of the Islips’ to celebrate the group’s donation of cherry trees to Brookwood Hall. Councilwoman Trish Bergin Weichbrodt and Receiver of Taxes Alexis Weik and Town Clerk, Olga Murray, were on hand to thank the Lions Club for their generous donation, and for all of the work they do helping the less fortunate in our community. After Past President Eugene Petraitis offered remarks about the Lions Club’s initiatives, the assembled guests laid a plaque at the site, commemorating the Lions Club’s decades of service to Islip residents.
